A little bit of Delta Light company history…

I started out manufacturing fiberoptic displays for the trade show industry starting in 1989. I made brilliant and extremely colorful illuminated displays and signage using 1000's of strands of fiber optics patterned after text, pictures, etc. Many clients asked me if I was working with light emitting diodes or LED's. I had previously been using LED's in custom-manufactured electronic devices. It had also been a long-time dream to have an LED bright enough to take along on my backpacking excursions. Well, my dreams came true. I started to use new state-of-the art LED's in the fall of 1992.

I started to invent products using LED's. I perfected a way to mount 10mm LED's in the MiniMag AA-cell flashlights as well as for 2 cell flashlights that account for 80% of the flashlights made. LED's to the rescue!! Feature articles were shown in Home Power Magazine and elsewhere starting in 1993. I also was the first to introduce the new WHITE LED's toward task lighting and specialty illumination. Others quickly caught on and today many small operators and do-it-yourself experimenters are making this new form of illumination a world-changing illuminating experience!!

Today, research continues as Delta Light endeavors to bring to the world exciting new and innovative illumination product to help conserve energy as well as become energy independent and to simply quench the darkness with super energy-efficient lighting!!

Custom designs and configurations are welcome. Your illuminator can be custom designed or it can be value-engineered for cost-sensitive applications.
